NEW ECOKNIGHT BOILER ARRIVES FROM LOCHINVAR

Lochinvar has announced the arrival of its new EcoKnight fully condensing gas-fired boiler which follows the recent launch of the EcoKnight water heater.

The range comprises five models offering heat outputs from 41 to 141 based upon a 50 deg C/30 deg C system design.

EcoKnight is fully modulating with a 5:1 turndown allowing a firing rate of as low as 20 per cent input when demand is at a minimum. The firing rate rises as demand increases, resulting in what Lochinvar describes as superior operating efficiencies with less cycling when compared to on/off products which will only fire at maximum input.

The boiler includes Lochinvar’s advanced ‘zero governor’ sealed combustion which allows fan speeds to constantly adjust to the volume of fuel/air entering the burner.

A stainless steel heat exchanger gives high resistance to corrosion caused by condensation from low entering water temperature. EcoKnight has a compact, lightweight design and has Nox emissions are lower than 30ppm.

David Pepper, managing director for Lochinvar, said: “The addition of the EcoKnight boiler enhances the wide and varied product range available from Lochinvar which gives specifiers and installers a great deal of choice and flexibility when selecting heating and water heating equipment.

Key control features include built in cascading sequencing, allowing use of up to eight boilers, and an integral control for primary, system return and de-stratification pumps.

EcoKnight boilers can be supplied with concentric or twin pipe balanced flue assemblies and can also be conventionally flued. All models are available for use with Natural Gas or LPG.
